Jennifer Bansard

Jennifer Bansard is a research analyst at WBGU since 2022. As a co-author of WBGU reports, her focus is on political science, especially with regard to global governance. She has particular expertise in climate, biodiversity, and urban governance, as well as the role of science in the sustainability transformation. Additionally, she works with the Earth Negotiations Bulletin. In this respect, she analyzes international environmental negotiations and helps track their progress through publicly available reporting. Jennifer has an interdisciplinary and international academic background. She holds an M.Sc. in Environment and Resource Management from VU Amsterdam, an M.A. in Applied Political Science from Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg, and a diploma from Sciences Po Aix. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at the University of Potsdam.
