Dr. Carmen Jochem
Health Research Analyst
Carmen Jochem is a research analyst at the German Advisory Council on Global Change (WBGU) since July 2021 and co-author of WBGU publications. Her focus is on the public and planetary health relevance and prevention of lifestyle associated risk factors (e.g. physical activity, nutrition, body weight). Additionally, she works as a research fellow at the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine at the University of Regensburg and is approved for habilitation on “Sedentary behavior in relation to risk of major chronic diseases: prevention approaches and public health perspectives”. Carmen Jochem studied Medicine at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich and at University of Regensburg. She is a medical doctor and holds a master’s degree in Global Health Policy (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine).
