of Public Law, specializing German, European and International Environmental
and administrative Law, and director of the Research Centre for European
Environmental Law, Bremen University. Before scientific coordinator
of the Baltic Institute for Maritime Law, Environmental Law and Infrastructural
Law, Rostock University (2002-2007), editor-in-chief of the Journal
of Environmental Law (since 2004). Memberships: „Vereinigung der
Deutschen Staatsrechtlehrer“ (since 2007), „Gesellschaft
für Umweltrecht“ (since 1995), managing board of the „Verein
für Umweltrecht“ (since 1994). Member of the WBGU since 2008.
