Secretariat
The Council's members are supported by a Secretariat in Berlin hosted administratively by the Stiftung Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research. Headed by a Secretary-General, the Secretariat has ten members of staff including six scientists. It provides scientific and logistic support to the Council's members and serves as the direct contact address for the public and press.
