The Vice-Chair of the German Advisory Council on Global Change (WBGU), Hans Joachim Schellnhuber, was today appointed as a climate advisor to the German Federal Government by Chancellor Angela Merkel. Lars Josefsson, the head of the Swedish energy company Vattenfall, was appointed to the same position.
